The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking an experienced engineer responsible for designing components or portions of electronic security systems. Modifies existing designs to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing and field service operations. Uses computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools, such as CAD. Gathers information, makes studies, computes calculations, and prepares original layouts and sketches to present design proposal. Coordinates design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, material, and planning group such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials, and contractual specifications.
Responsibilities:
• Be part of an integrated project team to complete the Design, PITCO, installation, and testing of installation projects as assigned. Serve as the company liaison to customer and project stakeholders on assigned projects. Collaborate with Project Managers and Subject Matter Experts in support of assigned projects and tasks.
• Implement processes to monitor and direct project tasks to ensure cost, schedule, and performance objectives are achieved for successful contract performance. Continually identify opportunities to improve internal and external processes.
• Supervise the development of junior-level professionals, identifying developmental opportunities and ensuring the necessary competencies are acquired to support the program’s installation and sustainment projects.
• Develop standards and templates for computer aided design models, ensuring compliance with applicable ASME and A/E/C standards. Coordinate standards and templates with program personnel to ensure uniformity of design products and tools meet program requirements for installation, sustainment, and digital engineering.
• Support proposals for multiple projects, providing engineering solutions, labor estimates and materials take-offs for FOPR responses.
• Develop test plans and lab configurations for PITCO activities within the permanent integration lab. Document testing processes and procedures for replication on future projects.
• Manage materials ordering, receipt, storage, inventory, and forwarding to support projects outside the National Capital Region.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science, or equivalent, and a minimum of 5 years’ experience designing, administrating, or implementing electronic security systems.
• Ability to apply an understanding of electronic security systems and device installation practices and methods to plan installation tasks.
• Understanding of DoD guidelines, regulations, and standard practices for security installation such as the ICD 705, AFI 31-101, AFI 31-108, and DoD 5210.41.
• Understanding of electrical and communications infrastructure design and installation.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite of Applications.
• AutoCAD Knowledge
• Experience with Test plan development and execution
• Some understanding of Network Architecture design
• Must be able to obtain Top Secret DOD Security clearance.

Pay Range:
There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$79,400 - $162,700
