Senior Consultant – AI & Data Risk Management – Financial Services

Work you’ll do
As a Senior Consultant in our AI & Data Risk team, you will play a critical role in delivering innovative data-driven solutions for clients across financial services, fintech, and technology industry sectors. You will:
- Serve as a key contributor on multi-disciplinary teams, collaborating closely with managers and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality data and analytics engagements
- Act as product owner on assigned initiatives, shaping priorities and turning business needs into a clear plan that an AI and Data engineering team can execute
- Guide and mentor junior team members, providing direction on project tasks and supporting skill development
- Drive modernization of business and technology processes in support of client objectives and project deliverables, including exploring agentic and automated workflows
- Partner with business, data, and technology teams to capture and translate requirements in support of large-scale data & AI initiatives
- Lead data discovery and analysis efforts, including metadata curation and business glossary alignment, and data lineage, classification, and source-to-target mapping, to support a strong data governance foundation
- Assess and improve data readiness for AI & Agentic consumption, evaluating datasets for quality, completeness, and semantic requirements, and establishing ontology components such as entities, relationships, and taxonomies
- Design and build AI-powered agents, accelerators, and reusable tooling to improve delivery speed and quality across an engagement
- Conduct technical analysis, develop data pipelines, and contribute to technical reviews for solutions built by the team
- Prepare project documentation, status updates, and client-ready deliverables highlighting progress, technical findings, and recommendations
- Present findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner

We deliver enhanced value through strategic transformation, end-to-end implementation, and focus on business-as-usual sustainability across processes, controls, and data & analytics infrastructure.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field
- 4+ years’ experience in data analysis, data architecture, data management, or data engineering
- 2+ years of experience in the financial services industry including investment management or insurance
- Demonstrated proficiency in relevant tools and platforms, including:
- Data Management: Collibra, Alation, Informatica, Atlan, Anomalo, Attacama, etc.
- AI-Assisted Development & Modern Data Engineering: Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, dbt, Airflow, Git/GitHub, etc.
- Predictive Analytics: Python, R
- Data Visualization: Tableau, PowerBI, etc.
- Data Mining/Data Warehousing: Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Databricks, Snowflake, etc.
- Programming/Scripting: Python, SQL, Java, Scala, etc.
- Experience and familiarity with:
- Data modernization and migration projects in financial services
- Data governance best practices, especially in the context for AI data readiness, data semantics, & ontologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to travel up to 50% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or business-related field
- Related certifications such as PMP, AWS/Databricks/Azure/GCP Cloud Certification, or CDMP
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $116200 to $229100
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
