HP · Spring, United States · 1d ago
Description -
As a Software Product Manager, you will lead execution of the Service Delivery Partner integration experience into the WXP platform - specifically how Service Delivery Partners onboard, integrate, and manage a WXP offering that includes a HW Service Care Pack. This role leads the end-to-end delivery of features within the onboarding/offboarding journey, telemetry opt-in/opt-out processes, and care pack lifecycle - from requirements definition through GA - working closely with engineering to translate business and Service Delivery Partner needs into executable work. Success in this role requires strong requirements-definition discipline, the ability to work across Service Delivery Partners, service, and engineering stakeholders, and comfort driving execution details and rigor in tracking milestones and deliverables through completion in a fast-moving, still-forming platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Onboarding, Opt-In/Opt-Out & Care Pack Lifecycle
- Elicit detailed requirements for the onboarding/offboarding journey through workshops and functional design documents, including telemetry opt-in/opt-out mechanics, tenant-level opt-out and re-opt-in capabilities, and care pack registration and expiration handling.
- Support definition and validation of requirements for WXP care pack management features (Care Pack registration, entitlement checks, plan adjustments based on P/P+ thresholds) in partnership with LCS on service business requirements.
- Support the CS/CDAX telemetry integration workstream, including requirements for surfacing hardware service progress to customers and partners.
- Ensure scope, dependencies, and success criteria are clearly defined before work enters development.
- Lead business readiness activities for owned features, including end-user training materials, product testing, and rollout support.
- Service Delivery Partner Integration Experience
- Support the customer and Service Delivery Partner integration experience, including onboarding and configuration workflows, ensuring they're clear, automated where possible, and scaled for SMB and Enterprise use cases.
- Act as an advocate for Service Delivery Partner and stakeholder needs during specification and development, escalating requirements or prioritization questions to the Expert/Principal PM as needed.
- Incorporate partner feedback into feature definition and testing for the areas you support.
- Feature Delivery & Execution
- Translate user and partner requirements into executable, workable feature items with the software engineering team.
- Collaborate with PC Support, Print Support, Poly, Configuration Services, RPB, and Renew Services, along with Engineering, to capture needs and define scalable solutions for the areas you support.
- Facilitate creation of customer and channel journey details (operational specifics) in partnership with LCS Services (Product Management & Operations).
- Drive process changes based on analysis of operational data and user behavior within owned workflows.
- Cross-Functional Execution & Operating Rhythm
- Support WXP & LCS business reviews with clear, well-prepared updates on your domain.
- Maintain operational rigor across your workstreams — clear documentation, tracked dependencies, and predictable delivery.
- Guide execution by attentively monitoring milestones, tasks, and deliverables against the defined plan, flagging risks early.
Required Skillset:
- Working understanding of the WXP solution and operating model.
- Product management experience defining clear requirements, managing backlogs, and delivering measurable outcomes in partnership with engineering and operations.
- Working familiarity with channel routes to market and how platform capabilities, packaging, and differentiation vary by channel type.
- Technical fluency in SaaS platforms and service operations; ability to ramp quickly on Lifecycle Services (LCS) offerings, customer needs, and operating constraints, or on WXP solution and operating models.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with immediate cross-functional partners (Product, Engineering, Services) to drive execution.
- Ability to participate in requirements discussions across multiple service teams and synthesize inputs into a coherent, well-scoped set of deliverables.
- Understanding of the broader market, competitive landscape, and relevant open-source technologies.
Education and Experience:
- Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in product management, digital or software product development, or a related field (or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of experience).
- Experience translating partner, customer, or operational requirements into clear PRDs and prioritized backlogs.
- Experience working across engineering, operations, and Service Delivery Partner-facing teams to drive alignment on cross-functional initiatives.
