As a Data Science Associate, within the Data Owner team, you will be expected to support processes and procedures that identify, monitor, and mitigate data risks throughout the data life cycle, in compliance with Firmwide policies and standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in capturing and documenting metadata and classifiers for critical data, ensuring understanding of impacts on data providers and consumers; Ensure data is machine readable for AI readiness
- Collaborate with technology and Product Owner team to ensure data sourcing, content and quality meet established requirements
- Partner with technology teams to capture data sources, formats, and data flows so that data can be validated for downstream analytics and reporting
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, structures, and processes.
- Coordination with Firmwide CDO for evolving Firmwide Risk processes and standards
- Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge, supporting overall data strategy initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field
- Experience in data management, data governance, risk management / analytics or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with desire to submerge into the detail of a topic, issue or deliverable to understand the underlying concept
- Ability to work collaboratively with technology and business teams
- Knowledge of basic SQL or other data querying languages
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Experience with AI tooling, such as training chat assistants, writing instructions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical knowledge of data management and governance, big data platforms, or data architecture preferred
- Familiarity with data governance tools and platforms
- Basic understanding of Traditional Credit products (loans, deposits, cash) and Financial and/or Regulatory reporting processes
