Oracle Global Physical Security (GPS) is seeking an experienced leader to serve as Director, Global Physical Security Central Operations supporting our global data center portfolio.
This role will build and lead the central operating capabilities required to scale Data Center Security Operations as Oracle continues to expand its infrastructure. The Director will develop the programs, mechanisms, standards, data, and cross-functional processes that enable campus Security Operations teams to execute consistently and effectively.
This is a builder role. The successful candidate will be comfortable identifying operational gaps, developing solutions where mature mechanisms do not yet exist, and scaling those solutions across a complex organization. Key areas of focus include construction-to-operations readiness, operational standards and playbooks, security technology integration, site hardening, data and automation, training, continuous improvement, and operational performance management.
The Director will report to the Senior Director, Global Data Center Physical Security and lead a team of senior security and program management professionals.
This is a U.S.-based remote position requiring approximately 50% travel.
- Build and mature the GPS Central Operations capability supporting Global Data Center Security Operations.
- Develop scalable operating standards, playbooks, runbooks, training, and implementation mechanisms that strengthen and simplify execution for campus Security Operations teams.
- Establish portfolio-level governance for key programs, risks, dependencies, milestones, decisions, and corrective actions.
- Develop and manage operational KPIs, dashboards, and Weekly, Monthly, and Annual Business Review mechanisms that provide actionable visibility into performance and risk.
- Lead the Security Operations construction-to-operations readiness and acceptance framework, establishing repeatable requirements and processes from construction and site lockdown through turnover and sustained operations.
- Partner with Security Systems and Technology teams to translate operational needs into requirements, use cases, service expectations, acceptance criteria, and scalable technology solutions.
- Identify and advance opportunities to use technology, analytics, data, and automation to improve security operations and reduce fragmented or manual processes.
- Lead the operational implementation of assigned site-hardening and strategic physical-security initiatives across the data center portfolio.
- Establish continuous-improvement mechanisms that use incidents, investigations, operational data, lessons learned, and field feedback to identify systemic issues, drive corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
- Partner with vendor management, Procurement, service providers, and other stakeholders to establish measurable operational requirements and improve service delivery and performance.
- Lead complex cross-functional initiatives involving Security Operations, Construction, Security Systems and Technology, Data Center Operations, Facilities, vendors, integrators, and other business partners.
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing Central Operations team while maintaining a strong service orientation toward campus Security Operations.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in physical security, security operations, loss prevention, infrastructure security, or a related field, including 7+ years of senior leadership or large-scale program leadership experience.
- Demonstrated experience building and scaling security programs, operating mechanisms, or organizational capabilities across multiple locations.
- Strong program and project management experience with demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept through implementation.
- Experience developing operational standards, playbooks, performance mechanisms, training programs, and continuous-improvement processes.
- Demonstrated experience using KPIs, dashboards, operational data, and business-review mechanisms to manage performance and drive decisions.
- Experience with construction-to-operations transition, operational readiness, commissioning, facility acceptance, or comparable infrastructure lifecycle processes.
- Working knowledge of enterprise physical-security technologies, including access control, video management, intrusion detection, SOC technologies, and related systems.
- Demonstrated ability to translate operational needs into business and technical requirements, workflows, user stories, and measurable outcomes.
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving results across complex organizations without direct reporting authority.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including executive leadership.
Ability to travel approximately 50%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting hyperscale data centers, critical infrastructure, cloud infrastructure, or similarly complex operating environments.
- Experience developing data products, operational dashboards, automated workflows, or analytics capabilities.
- Experience working with large-scale third-party security providers, integrators, or security technology vendors.
- Experience implementing site-hardening or enhanced physical-security programs.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- PMP, CPP, PSP, CPTED, or other relevant professional certification preferred.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $126,200 to $264,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
