About the Role Aon is seeking a highly motivated and commercially driven Cyber Insurance Specialist / Cyber Risk Consultant to join our growing cyber security division. This role combines expertise in cybersecurity, risk assessment, insurance, and business development. The successful candidate will advise clients on cyber risk exposures. Will translate technical vulnerabilities into business and insurance implications. Will build cyber insurance strategies and drive revenue growth through proactive client acquisition and relationship management. Partnering with organizations to strengthen their cyber resilience while securing efficient insurance solutions for evolving cyber threats. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Client Management Generate new business through proactive prospecting, networking, referrals, and market engagement. Build and maintain positive relationships with C-suite executives, Risk Managers, CISOs, CIOs, and other key partners. Lead client meetings, presentations, renewal discussions, and sales strategies. Build and lead a robust sales pipeline while achieving revenue, retention, and growth targets. Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities. Cyber Risk Advisory Assess clients’ cyber risk profiles, including data privacy exposure, business interruption risks, and technology dependencies. Translate technical cybersecurity information into clear business risk narratives for clients and insurance underwriters. Counsel clients on appropriate cyber insurance coverage structures, limits, retentions, and policy wording. Support clients during cyber incidents and insurance claims, coordinating with insurers, incident response firms, and internal collaborators. Mentoring on methods for risk shifting and cyber resilience initiative s. Insurance Placement & Bid Structure and market cyber insurance programs. Prepare submissions and documentation for insurers and bid efficient terms and pricing. Evaluate and compare insurance proposals, coverage options, and policy conditions. Stay informed on cyber insurance products, emerging cyber threats, carrier capabilities, and market trends. Collaboration & Thought Leadership Partner with broking, analytics, claims, legal, and risk advisory teams to deliver comprehensive client solutions. Provide internal education and guidance on cyber risks and cyber insurance coverages. Contribute to thought leadership initiatives, including client alerts, webinars, presentations, and industry events. Support the continued growth and market positioning of Aon’s Cyber Solutions practice. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Systems, Risk Management, Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, with equivalent experience considered. Confirmed experience in one or more of the following: Cybersecurity or Information Security IT Risk Management Cyber Insurance Broking or Underwriting Specialty Insurance B2B Sales or Client Relationship Management Experience directly contacting senior business leaders and clients. Strong ability to recognize business opportunities and communicate complex concepts effectively. Technical Knowledge Candidates should possess solid understanding of: Cyber threats and attack vectors, including ransomware, phishing, business email compromise, supply chain attacks, and DDoS attacks. Network security, endpoint protection, identity and access management, vulnerability management, incident response, disaster recovery, and cloud security concepts. Cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls. Cyber risk insurance offerings, policy structures, exclusions, endorsements, and market practices. Cyber risk transfer strategies and insurance coverage solutions. Skills & Proficiencies Strong consultative and customer focused approach. Excellent presentation, communication, and bidding skills. Ability to simplify sophisticated technical topics for business audiences. Strong relationship-building and team member management capabilities. Entrepreneurial mentality with an emphasis on delivering outcomes. Proven track record to manage several priorities in a fast-paced environment. Collaborative great teammate capable of working across technical, legal, financial, and risk subject areas. Applicable insurance broker licenses or the ability to acquire them.
