We’re proud to have been helping our clients build better financial futures for over 50 years. How have we achieved this? By working together - and supporting each other - all over the world. So, join our Compliance team and feel like you’re part of something bigger.
FIL Fondsbank GmbH (FFB) is the German fund platform of Fidelity International. Through our partners – banks, asset managers and financial advisers – we serve around 660,000 client depots with approximately €44 billion in assets under custody. As a licensed credit institution, we operate in one of the most demanding regulatory environments in Europe – and robust compliance is an integral part of the trust our partners and clients place in us.
About your role :
As Compliance Manager your role is to identify, report and manage regulatory risks and thus protect FFB from any risk of being non-compliant. You work in a hands-on and results-oriented manner: you analyse processes in detail, derive appropriate measures from your findings and follow up on them until they are implemented. You are the first point of contact for the business areas on regulatory questions. You will pro-actively support the specific business areas with regards to questions how to comply with the relevant regulation. In this role, you do not only apply existing procedures; you shape them.
As Compliance Manager you are accountable and responsible for:
- conducting compliance monitoring in line with the annual Compliance Monitoring Plan, in particular on conflicts of interest, employee transactions, marketing communications, complaints handling and the safeguarding of client assets – from planning and testing through to findings, agreed actions and verification of their effectiveness;
- advising the business areas on regulatory questions and on the design of new or changed processes, products and marketing communications;
- assessing new and amended regulation for its impact on FFB and following up its timely implementation with the relevant areas;
- acting as Contract Manager for compliance services provided by the Fidelity group
- supporting the internal and external audits, including e.g. preparation, coordination of requests and follow-up;
- supporting the Head of Compliance in preparing compliance reporting to the Management Board and the Supervisory Board;
- collaborating with the other control functions – in particular Anti-Money Laundering, Risk Management, Third-Party Risk Management and Information Security – to ensure aligned assessments.
About you :
You are a suitable candidate for the role if you have/are:
- At least 2 years of experience in Compliance or regulatory services within the financial industry or an audit/consultancy firm;
- Solid knowledge of German and European financial services regulation (e.g. WpHG, KWG, MaComp, MaRisk, MiFID II);
- The ability to work independently, take ownership of topics and deliver results in a structured and diligent manner;
- excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to explain regulatory requirements clearly to non-specialists, as well as fluency in German and Business English.
Feel rewarded :
For starters, we’ll offer you a comprehensive benefits package. We’ll value your wellbeing and support your development. And we’ll be as flexible as we can about where and when you work – finding a balance that works for all of us. It’s all part of our commitment to making you feel motivated by the work you do and happy to be part of our team.
