Work you'll do
As a Data Engineer II on the AI & Data team, you will be responsible for:
- Collaborating with stakeholders to identify, access, and document data sources, definitions, and analytical needs
- Preparing, integrating, and analyzing data from multiple sources to identify trends, issues, and opportunities
- Enhancing existing dashboards and developing visualizations that communicate data-driven insights
- Translating analytical findings into concise visual products and briefings for technical and nontechnical audiences
- Using business intelligence, statistical, and programming tools to perform exploratory analysis and support predictive and prescriptive analytics efforts

Qualifications
Required:
- Active Secret clearance
- 2+ Years experience using Databricks or Palantir for data engineering or analytics workflows
- 2+ Years experience using Qlik to develop dashboards, reports, or data visualizations
- 2+ Years experience using Microsoft Excel and at least one of the following tools: Python, R, or Structured Query Language (SQL)
- Experience gathering stakeholder requirements and delivering analytical products that address documented business questions
- Ability to travel 20%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Preferred:
- Experience using Databricks machine learning or artificial intelligence capabilities
- Coursework or professional experience applying statistical methods and programming to integrate data from multiple sources and develop predictive or prescriptive models
- Experience supporting data and analytics work subject to documented security, access, or reporting requirements
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Virginia, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to Virginia and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $97,700 to $162,800.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
