Work You’ll Do
As a Consultant, Forensics and Investigations, you will:
- Provide research and analysis on specific subjects of interest to support law enforcement investigations or national security inquiries. These subjects may include individuals, corporate entities, or other provided identifiers.
- Monitor Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) data for alerts through the use of Government provided analytics or business rules that screen incoming filings
- Author proactive referrals and case support as needed for law enforcement, regulatory, or international investigations into financial crimes
- Provide intelligence support by responding to requests for investigative research
- Use BSA and other available data to support effective operations to disrupt financial crimes, and contribute to operational threat tracking databases where appropriate
- Generate complete and accurate tactical research and analysis including: a) Short-term investigative products to Law Enforcement and other government agencies b)Short-term or regular threat monitoring reports and dashboards produced weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly c) Summary memo of weekly business rule review d) Short term reports that identify critical BSA information for urgent dissemination

Our Forensic, Discovery, & Financial Crime offering provides services to support anti-money laundering, discovery, business disputes and investigations. Protect brands from financial crime and other corporate misconduct, as well as enable government organizations with tradecraft & technology to combat emerging and evolving threats.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of experience working with and synthesizing large amounts of data.
- Strong Excel and Data Analysis skills with the ability to produce comprehensive written reports and metrics.
- Active Secret security clearance required.
- Ability to travel 5-25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a work model that requires professionals to co-locate in person 5 days per week in Washington, DC.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Preferred:
- Experience with Sanctions in the Financial Industry.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $88,600 to $147,600.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
