The Role

Who We Are

At Kyndryl, we run and reimagine the mission-critical technology systems that drive advantage for the world’s leading businesses. We are at the heart of progress, with proven expertise and a continuous flow of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered insight, enabling smarter decisions, faster innovation and a lasting competitive edge. For our people, Kyndryls, that means doing purposeful work that powers human progress.

The Role

Your Role

Are you the person teams turn to when a critical infrastructure issue crosses technology boundaries and the answer is not obvious?

As a Senior Solutions Architect, GPU Cloud GenAI - Infrastructure, you will be a senior technical authority for complex Artificial Intelligence and Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) infrastructure challenges. You will bring deep expertise in at least one core infrastructure domain, combined with strong breadth across networking, server/compute and storage, to lead cross-domain troubleshooting from initial investigation through permanent resolution.

You will own complex Root Cause Analysis (RCA), performance investigations and architecture reviews, helping engineering teams strengthen infrastructure resilience, scalability and operational excellence. You will also provide technical leadership during major incidents, bringing together internal specialists and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) engineering teams while retaining end-to-end technical ownership.

What You Will Do

• Lead complex cross-domain infrastructure incidents spanning server/compute, network, storage, operating system and GPU platform dependencies, retaining end-to-end technical ownership through resolution.
• Perform deep RCA and performance investigations using telemetry, logs, Service Level Objective (SLO) and Service Level Agreement (SLA) data, capacity baselines and systematic fault isolation.
• Identify architectural defects, scaling limitations and recurring failure patterns, then define permanent corrective actions and engineering recommendations that improve resilience, performance and capacity.
• Review high-risk lifecycle changes, firmware upgrades and maintenance strategies, coordinating specialized technical experts and OEM engineering when required.
• Improve operational effectiveness through automation, Level 1 (L1) and Level 2 (L2) runbooks, decision trees, evidence standards and technical mentoring.

Your Future at Kyndryl

This role places you at the center of complex, mission-critical GPU and Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) infrastructure engineering. You will have opportunities to deepen your expertise across infrastructure, automation, performance engineering and emerging AI platforms while influencing architecture and engineering practices across teams.

• Strong Linux troubleshooting, performance engineering, capacity analysis and RCA capability, including experience leading complex Priority 0 (P0) and Priority 1 (P1) technical investigations.
• Working knowledge of GPU infrastructure dependencies, with the ability to distinguish compute, network, storage and software/platform symptoms in complex production environments.
• Experience reviewing infrastructure architecture and lifecycle changes and translating incident or RCA findings into permanent engineering improvements.

• Automation experience with Python, Ansible or equivalent technologies, together with the ability to operate as a technical authority and communicate effectively across engineering and OEM teams.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience supporting large-scale, high-performance or AI/GPU infrastructure environments.
• Broad understanding of dependencies between networking, compute, storage, Linux and application/platform layers.
• Experience designing diagnostic runbooks, operational standards and troubleshooting frameworks.
• Experience mentoring infrastructure engineers and improving L1/L2 support capability.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with internal engineering teams, technology vendors and OEM engineering organizations.
