Meet the Team
Information Technology is core to the health and growth of Millennium’s business. The firm’s active, multi-manager business model requires flexible, scalable technology and advanced proprietary systems, including the development of next-generation analytical and trading capabilities. The Trade Platform Engineering team supports the technology environment underpinning post-trade processes and works closely with partners across the firm.
Millennium is seeking a Technical Program Manager, Post-Trade to serve as the operating partner to the Head of Trade Platform Engineering. This role will bring structure, transparency, and execution discipline to a portfolio of mission-critical post-trade technology initiatives.
The successful candidate will translate strategic priorities into an executable portfolio of work, coordinate delivery across engineering and business teams, manage dependencies and risks, and represent the organization with stakeholders. They will help the Head of Trade Platform Engineering maintain a clear view of commitments, make informed trade-offs, and ensure that important work progresses to completion.
This is a senior individual-contributor role for someone who combines rigorous program management with strong business judgment, process-development skills, and enough technical fluency to engage credibly with engineering leaders. The role is primarily focused on program execution, operating rhythm, and stakeholder alignment rather than detailed requirements writing or solution architecture.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain an integrated portfolio of post-trade technology programs and projects, including objectives, milestones, owners, dependencies, risks, and delivery commitments.
- Establish consistent practices for intake, prioritization, planning, status reporting, risk management, and closure across multiple teams and workstreams.
- Coordinate complex initiatives across engineering, operations, risk, compliance, front-office technology, and other partner organizations.
- Serve as the operating partner to the Head of Trade Platform Engineering by maintaining a clear view of upcoming commitments, delivery pressure points, unresolved decisions, and stakeholder concerns.
- Prepare concise, decision-ready updates and recommendations for leadership, including options, trade-offs, risks, and required actions.
- Create effective operating rhythms for portfolio reviews, dependency management, delivery updates, and follow-through on decisions and commitments.
- Act as a trusted point of contact for stakeholders seeking clarity on priorities, delivery status, risks, timelines, and ownership.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings that produce clear decisions, actionable commitments, and timely follow-up.
- Build alignment across competing priorities and communicate changes in scope, sequencing, timing, or risk before they become surprises.
What You Bring
- Proven ability to plan and deliver complex technology programs across multiple teams and functions.
- Strong execution discipline, organization, and attention to detail, with a track record of driving actions and commitments to closure.
- Experience in financial services, fintech, trading technology, post-trade, operations, or another complex and highly controlled environment.
- Familiarity with trade processing, reconciliation, allocations, reporting, controls, data quality, settlement, or related operational workflows.
- Excellent stakeholder-management and communication skills, including the ability to influence without direct authority and communicate difficult news early.
- Strong prioritization and judgment; able to frame trade-offs, recommend decisions, and escalate issues at the appropriate time.
- Experience managing dependencies across technology and the business, delivery risks, competing priorities, and executive-level communication.
