Solution Architect

At MFS, you will find a culture that supports you in doing what you do best. Our employees work together to reach better outcomes, favoring the strongest idea over the strongest individual. We put people first and demonstrate care and compassion for our community and each other. Because what we do matters – to us as valued professionals and to the millions of people and institutions who rely on us to help them build more secure and prosperous futures.

THE ROLE

The Solution Architect is responsible for designing, architecting, and delivering scalable, secure, and business-aligned technology solutions across Microsoft 365, Azure, Power Platform, and AI-enabled platforms. This role requires strong technical depth, continuous learning, especially in AI and cloud technologies and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset to translate business needs into sustainable solutions.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Design and architect end-to-end solutions using Microsoft 365, Azure, Power Platform, and integration services, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and governance.
• Apply AI and automation capabilities (e.g., Azure AI, RAG patterns, intelligent search, MCP, and A2A patterns) to solve complex business problems and improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, delivery teams, Infrastructure, DevSecOps, Information Security, and the Enterprise Architecture Review Board to understand requirements and convert them into scalable, secure technical designs.
• Take full ownership of solution design—from concept and architecture through implementation and post-deployment optimization.
• Proactively identify risks, limitations, and improvement opportunities, taking initiative to address issues before they impact delivery.
• Maintain a positive, team-first attitude, actively supporting peers and contributing beyond assigned responsibilities when needed.

Continuous Learning & Mindset

• Actively self-learn and stay current with evolving technologies, particularly AI, cloud, and automation trends, and apply learnings to real-world solutions.
• Demonstrate curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to go the extra mile to deliver high-quality outcomes.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field is required.
• Strong experience in solution architecture, application integration, and cloud-based platforms.
• Hands-on knowledge of Azure services, including APIM, Azure AI Search, AI Foundry, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, APIs, and modern development frameworks.
• Ability to balance technical excellence with business pragmatism.
• Proactive, accountable, and comfortable working in complex, cross-functional environments.
• Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
