- People Leadership: Relevant experience managing and coaching software engineering teams in a fast-paced, agile environment, with a focus on career growth, well-being, and skill development.
- Project Delivery: Demonstrated ability to ensure consistent project delivery, manage team capacity, identify and remove blockers, and communicate project status and risks to all stakeholders.
- Technical Background: A strong technical background in software development (preferably Java-based), with experience in software design and operating mission-critical services and platforms.
- Cloud & Modern Practices: Experience with cloud-based technologies (such as AWS or Google Cloud) and modern engineering practices, including containerisation (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Operational Excellence: Experience owning a team's incident management process, balancing feature development with operational tasks, and cultivating robust operational practices for system reliability.
- Stakeholder Management: A collaborative approach with the ability to build strong relationships with product, design, and other cross-functional partners.
- 1 wellbeing leave day per year
