Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is seeking a Principal Data Center Support Services professional to lead materials tracking and delivery visibility across hyperscale data center campuses. Within Hyperscale Materials Delivery, you will connect bills of materials, procurement records, supplier commitments, shipments, inventory, and campus fulfillment into a reliable program view.
This role will work with design, compute, networking, procurement, lease providers, low-voltage vendors, and campus teams to understand what material is required, where it is in the delivery process, and whether it will be available when needed. This role will independently resolve complex tracking and reconciliation issues, identify delivery risks, and establish repeatable tools and processes that campus teams can operate after launch.
Key Responsibilities
Own the consolidated materials tracking view across BOM creation, ordering, tracking, shipping, receiving, fulfillment, and distribution for assigned campuses and programs.
Reconcile approved BOM inputs with procurement and provider records. Confirm order coverage, quantities, part numbers, revisions, and destinations; route discrepancies to the accountable design or procurement owner for resolution.
Maintain traceability between each material line, its source owner, order or purchase-order reference, campus, building or deployment scope, required quantity, and need-by date. Preserve source references and distinguish forecasts, confirmed commitments, and actuals.
Track make and ship commitments, transit status, receiving dates, inventory availability, and fulfillment progress. Obtain current updates from source owners and reconcile conflicting or incomplete information.
Assess the effect of material shortages, late deliveries, design changes, and receiving constraints on campus milestones. Escalate risks early with a clear impact, accountable owner, recovery action, and next checkpoint.
Prepare and facilitate materials reviews with source owners and campus teams. Maintain concise status reports and action logs, follow through on commitments, and provide leadership with updates that support decisions.
Coordinate with campus, warehouse, and third-party logistics teams to reconcile receiving, inventory, allocation, and distribution actuals. Track aging or excess material and support disposition decisions with the responsible procurement and campus owners.
Establish common tracker definitions, update expectations, reconciliation checks, reporting formats, and escalation procedures. Improve data quality and reduce manual work through approved tools and automation.
Support campus launches by establishing tracking mechanisms, documenting procedures, training local owners, and confirming system access and usable data. Transition daily tracking to campus teams once they are ready, while maintaining program reporting and support for escalations.
Apply lessons across campuses, recommend improvements to material flow and reporting, and coach peers and local owners on consistent tracking practices.
Demonstrated experience in materials management, inventory control, supply chain, logistics, or infrastructure delivery, including independent ownership of complex work across multiple projects or sites.
Experience reconciling BOMs, procurement records, supplier commitments, shipment data, and inventory or fulfillment records at the material-line level.
Demonstrated analytical skills and proficiency with Excel, including lookups, pivot tables, data reconciliation, and maintaining large, structured trackers.
Working knowledge of enterprise procurement or inventory systems and the relationship between orders, shipments, receipts, on-hand inventory, and fulfillment.
Ability to translate material status into schedule impact, prioritize exceptions, and drive resolution across teams with different responsibilities and systems.
Clear written and verbal communication, with experience preparing status reports, leading working sessions, and escalating issues with practical recovery options.
Ability to define repeatable processes, document operating procedures, and train others while exercising independent judgment in an evolving environment.
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, operations, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience supporting hyperscale data center construction, fit-out, deployment, or campus expansion.
Familiarity with compute, networking, racks, optics, cabling, and other data center material categories.
Experience with Oracle Fusion, data center inventory tools, Power Query, or business intelligence reporting.
Experience coordinating across lease providers, low-voltage vendors, procurement teams, campuses, and third-party logistics providers.
Experience launching standardized tracking processes and transferring daily operation to local teams.
This role owns the accuracy and usefulness of the program materials view, coordination of tracking exceptions, and adoption of common processes. Design and procurement teams retain technical BOM approval, purchasing, and supplier responsibilities. Campus teams and their providers retain warehouse operations, receiving, and physical fulfillment and distribution.
