We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Specialist, Product Owner to join our Data & Analytics team. This role is located in Boston, MA or New York, NY.
The Senior Specialist will help turn enterprise data into trusted, reusable, and client-consumable data products. The role will coordinate across Product, Engineering, Data Governance, Operations, and Client Delivery teams to support the full data-product lifecycle, from intake and prioritization through certification, documentation, delivery, adoption, and ongoing change management.
The successful candidate will combine strong data-management knowledge with practical execution skills. They will help establish clear operating standards, bring visibility to cross-team dependencies, and ensure data products are governed, documented, and ready for use by internal and external consumers.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Coordinate the end-to-end onboarding and enablement of data products, including intake, scope definition, ownership alignment, metadata readiness, governance review, certification, provisioning, testing, documentation, and release readiness.
- Partner across Product, Engineering, Data Governance, Operations, Platform, and Client Delivery teams to define responsibilities, manage dependencies, align sequencing, and clarify decision and escalation paths.
- Develop and maintain reusable operating standards, playbooks, data dictionaries, process flows, decision records, and stakeholder-facing documentation to improve consistency and reduce reliance on manual or informal knowledge.
- Drive adoption of scalable delivery patterns by helping teams move from one-off solutions toward reusable data models, governed provisioning approaches, and standardized platform capabilities.
- Apply product management discipline, data fluency, and stakeholder feedback to inform roadmap priorities, measure value delivery, and continuously improve data capabilities that support decision-making, operational efficiency, and strategic outcomes.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in data management, information systems, business analysis, finance, technology, or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in data product management, data governance, business analysis, technology delivery, or a related field within a complex organization.
- Experience coordinating initiatives across business, product, engineering, governance, operations, and client-facing teams.
- Experience working with tools that support workflow, metadata, reporting, and collaboration, such as Collibra, JIRA, Power BI, Snowflake, SharePoint, or similar platforms.
- Practical knowledge of data-governance concepts, including metadata, data lineage, data quality, authoritative data, stewardship, ownership, controls, data contracts, and certification.
- Experience with cloud data platforms, semantic models, knowledge graphs, data marketplaces, APIs, or AI-ready data practices is a plus.
