Strategy @ Droga5

At Droga5, strategy isn't a step in the process — it's the engine behind everything we make. We've built a diverse, future-focused team that approaches every client challenge from multiple perspectives, because we believe diversity of thinking leads to better solutions, faster. We don't do one-size-fits-all. Instead, we draw from an arsenal of tools to build strategies that are bespoke, creative, and actionable — always anchored in a deep obsession with people.

We look for the connections and tensions between people, culture, and brands, because it's at those junctions that truly world-class creative solutions are born. We are collaborative, inventive, and creative. We are also consistent and single-minded in our ambition to create work that solves problems, grows businesses, transforms categories, and generates demand for our clients.

If you’ve a great head on your shoulders, we really want to meet you.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Strategy Director who is restlessly curious, sharp enough to simplify the most complex challenges, and experienced enough to know when to trust their instincts. You'll be a senior voice in the strategy team — shaping the thinking on some of the world's most ambitious brands and helping to define what great strategy looks like at Droga5.

You will work at the intersection of people, culture, and commerce — finding the insight that unlocks a brief, the tension that fuels a campaign, or the truth that changes how a client sees their own business.

Job Responsibilities

• Serve as a key strategy leader across both our established client roster and new business development — bringing equal conviction to long-term brand building and high-stakes pitches.
• Demonstrate a long-term track record of developing and delivering scaled brand strategy, planning, and research in an agency environment, with evidence of breakthrough innovation across these disciplines.
• Hold a strategic view of how brand, media, and consumer insights drive brand platforms and cross-channel campaign executions — with a clear-eyed understanding of media fragmentation, emerging technology, consumer empowerment, and globalisation.
• Identify and act on opportunities to constantly raise the quality of thinking applied to client business — never settling for the expected answer.
• Oversee, lead, and participate in client strategic sessions, pitches, and proposals, ensuring every room we enter reflects the very best of what Droga5 strategy can offer.
• Set the strategy standard and drive high performance across the department in both effectiveness and creativity, through ongoing coaching and mentoring of the team.
• Work in close partnership with cross-disciplinary teams — creative, data, media, experience — to deliver truly world-class communications.
• Communicate with clarity and conviction, building genuine trust and confidence among clients and colleagues alike.
• Bring a real thirst to help shape the future of brand communications — and the ambition to make that future happen here.

What you’ll bring

• 15+ years of experience in brand or creative strategy, with a track record that speaks for itself — across categories, geographies, or both.
• An exceptional ability to simplify the complex: to take a tangled brief, a noisy market, or a divided room and find the thing that matters.
• Deep curiosity about people — how they think, what they want, what they fear, and what moves them.
• A bespoke mindset: you reach for the right tool, not the familiar one, and you build strategies that fit the challenge, not the template.
• Strong experience working with senior clients and the confidence to challenge, inspire, and earn their trust.
• A natural collaborator who makes creative work better — not by directing it, but by fuelling it.
• A point of view on culture, brands, and the world that is distinctly your own.
