The Role

As a Senior Managing Engineer - Forward Deployed / Data Engineering Senior Manager, you will operate with high individual, team and client ownership. You will be accountable for the strategy across your deployed client engagement. Leading a team of engineers, who design solutions that unify complex data landscapes, build workflows that drive smarter decisions, and partner with organisations to deliver sustainable transformation. What You'll Do

• Strategic Delivery: Take full ownership of client problem set discovery and business analysis. Accountable for strategic advisory, programme design, horizon mapping and change management. Significant ownership of enduring and successful relationships with clients
• End-to-End Delivery: Lead your deployment team to drive significant overarching ownership of client problems, handling everything from deep data engineering knowing that may require low/no code Palantir Foundry tooling, or Python and PySpark code repos - to building user-facing front-end applications and widgets in TypeScript or REACT

• AI Integration: Actively embed AI workflows into existing applications using cutting-edge tools like AIP Logic Functions, AIP Analysts, and AIFDE

What We Are Looking For

• Strategic mindset: Demonstrate an exceptional level of client relationship management alignment to high level decision making individuals, alongside your technical understanding and natural leadership
• Problem Solvers: We highly value individuals who can navigate nuanced client environments. We care more about your ability to decompose complex use cases and architect solutions than rote memorising of coding syntax
• Fluency in core languages (Python, SQL, TypeScript and/or REACT) and the capability to pick up others quickly. You should understand data engineering principles, ETL pipelines, and application development
• Familiarity with Palantir (Foundry, Gotham, or similar) is preferred but not mandatory provided you have a strong willingness to learn
• High EQ & Curiosity: The emotional intelligence to manage client expectations, a proactive self-starting nature, and the humility to know you don't know everything and search for and accept help
• Impact-Driven Communication: The ability to drive a team to present impressive demos, simplify complexity for non-technical users and focus on delivering genuine client impact

We foster an open, low-ego culture built on merit, where professional strides are formalised through weekly all company sessions. All levels of our business are highly visible and accessible to everyone. We have a vibrant engineering community that connects through regular socials and interest‑based Slack communities, creating opportunities to learn from one another and share what we love outside of work.
