Job Summary:
当社の保険業務を支えるメインフレームシステムの設計・開発・保守を担当するとともに、AI-Firstな開発・保守モデルへの変革を推進します。生成AI、自動化、CI/CDなどの技術を活用して生産性と品質を向上させ、次世代のメインフレームエンジニアリングを実現する役割を担います。
Responsibilities:
- メインフレームアプリケーションの設計、開発、テスト、保守を担当
- 業務要件を理解し、システム仕様に落とし込むための分析・設計を実施
- GitHub、CI/CD、テスト自動化などのモダナイゼーション施策の導入・推進
- AIを活用して要件分析、設計、コーディング、テスト、障害分析、ドキュメント作成の生産性向上を実現
- AIが生成したコード、テストケース、設計書および運用成果物をレビューし、品質、保守性、セキュリティおよび業務要件への適合性を担保
- AI-Firstな開発・保守プロセスの確立、標準化および継続的改善を推進
- 開発チームおよびベンダーと連携し、AIを活用したソフトウェアエンジニアリングのベストプラクティスを展開
- バッチ処理やオンライン処理のパフォーマンス改善、障害対応、根本原因分析を実施
- アプリケーションの変更管理、リリース計画、運用手順書の作成および継続的な改善を推進
- ウォーターフォール開発プロセスにおけるプロジェクト計画、WBS作成、レビューを実施し、将来的なアジャイル開発への移行を支援
- セキュリティ、コンプライアンスおよびリスク管理要件を満たすシステム設計・運用を実施
Experience:
- メインフレーム環境（COBOL、JCL、DB2、CICSなど）におけるシステム開発・保守経験3年以上
- 業務要件の分析、設計、開発、テスト、本番リリースまでのシステム開発ライフサイクルに関する実務経験
- 障害分析、原因調査、パフォーマンス改善などのアプリケーション保守経験
- 開発プロセス改善、自動化、またはモダナイゼーション施策の推進経験があれば尚可
- Git、CI/CD、テスト自動化などのモダンなソフトウェアエンジニアリング手法の利用経験があれば尚可
- 生成AIやAI開発支援ツールを活用したソフトウェア開発・保守経験があれば尚可
- AIを活用したソフトウェアエンジニアリングの実践を通じて、生産性、品質、保守性の向上を推進した経験があれば尚可

Job Summary:
Responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of mainframe systems that support our insurance business, while driving the transformation toward an AI-First development and maintenance model.
This role leverages Generative AI, automation, CI/CD, and other modern engineering practices to improve productivity and quality, helping to build the next generation of mainframe engineering capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into system designs and technical specifications.
- Drive and promote modernization initiatives, including GitHub, CI/CD, and test automation.
- Leverage AI to improve productivity across requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, incident analysis, and documentation.
- Review AI-generated code, test cases, design documents, and operational deliverables to ensure quality, maintainability, security, and alignment with business requirements.
- Establish, standardize, and continuously improve AI-First development and maintenance processes.
- Collaborate with development teams and vendors to promote best practices for AI-powered software engineering.
- Improve performance of batch and online processing, troubleshoot incidents, and perform root cause analysis.
- Manage application changes, release planning, operational procedures, and continuous process improvement.
- Create project plans, work breakdown structures (WBS), and conduct reviews within a waterfall development environment, while supporting the transition to Agile development practices.
- Design and operate systems in compliance with security, compliance, and risk management requirements.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in system development and maintenance within a mainframe environment (e.g., COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS)
- Hands-on experience across the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and production release
- Experience in application maintenance, including incident analysis, root cause investigation, and performance optimization
- Experience driving development process improvements, automation initiatives, or modernization programs is preferred
- Experience with modern software engineering practices such as Git, CI/CD, and test automation is preferred
- Experience leveraging Generative AI or AI-assisted development tools for software development and maintenance is preferred
- Experience improving productivity, quality, and maintainability through AI-enabled software engineering practices is preferred
Skills:
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and logical thinking skills
- Knowledge and experience with mainframe technologies, including COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, and CICS
- Knowledge and practical experience in AI-assisted software development and maintenance
- Ability to evaluate and review AI-generated artifacts, including code, design documents, and test cases, to ensure quality and accuracy
- Skills in batch and online processing design, performance optimization, and incident analysis
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, including requirements definition, design, development, testing, and release management
- Knowledge of or experience with modern software engineering practices such as GitHub, CI/CD, and test automation
- DevOps mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with team members, vendors, and stakeholders
- Ability to continuously learn and apply new technologies and AI-driven engineering practices
- Ability to establish, standardize, and drive adoption of AI-First development and maintenance models
- Knowledge of or experience with Assembler is preferred
- Understanding of and practical experience with Agile development methodologies is preferred
Preferable:
- Experience in system development and maintenance within the insurance or financial services industry
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools for software engineering
- Experience implementing and utilizing GitHub, CI/CD, and test automation practices
- Experience participating in mainframe modernization initiatives
- Experience leading offshore development teams or external vendors
- Experience establishing or improving AI-First development and maintenance processes
Language:
Candidates must satisfy one of the following:
- Ability to lead requirements discussions and project execution with business stakeholders in Japanese, or
- Ability to lead development and maintenance activities with offshore development teams in English
- In addition: Professional communication skills in either Japanese or English
- Experience working in a global and multicultural environment is preferred
