As a CO+I Energy and Environment Critical Environment Program Manager, you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. Responsibilities
- Manage local energy and environmental projects across the data center campus and leased sites, where applicable.
- Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and Energy Management Systems (EnMS), including ISO 14001 and ISO 50001.
- Represent the site in regional Energy and Environment forums and collaborate with regional and local teams on environmental and energy initiatives.
- Lead site-level performance monitoring and management reviews, including data collection, KPI tracking, risk identification, and management of non-conformities.
- Identify, develop, and deliver energy efficiency and environmental improvement projects across operating sites.
- Serve as the site point of contact for internal and external audits, while maintaining EMS/EnMS documentation and supporting environmental compliance requirements.
- Partner with Operations, Regional Compliance, and other stakeholders to deliver site-level environmental programs, awareness activities, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Educational Background: Background in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Professional & Technical Experience: Proven experience managing building operations, energy, environmental, or sustainability programs in mission-critical, industrial, or large infrastructure environments, with knowledge of data center operational controls.
Management Systems & Project Delivery: Experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 50001, including management reviews, non-conformity management and corrective actions, with demonstrated ability to identify, scope, and deliver energy or environmental improvement projects.
Stakeholder, Documentation & Data Management: Demonstrated ability to communicate with and influence site-level leadership, coordinate management system activities, and manage program documentation, records, KPIs, non-conformities, and document control processes.
Background Check Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Data Center Operations Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across Sweden is kr 570,000.00 - kr 930,000.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
