We are proud to be consistently recognized as one of the world’s best places to work. We are currently the top ranked consulting firm on Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work list and have earned the #1 overall spot a record seven times. Extraordinary teams are at the heart of our business strategy, but these don’t happen by chance. They require intentional focus on bringing together a broad set of backgrounds, cultures, experiences, perspectives, and skills in a supportive and inclusive work environment. We hire people with exceptional talent and create an environment in which every individual can thrive professionally and personally.
Who You'll Work With
You'll join Bain's Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Divestitures Practice, a global team helping clients navigate transformative portfolio decisions across the M&A lifecycle, from strategy and due diligence to merger integration and divestitures.
Our practice brings together industry expertise, innovative solutions, and deep market insights to help clients make informed decisions and achieve lasting results. You'll collaborate with Bain partners, industry experts, regional teams, and solution leaders across the globe to develop and share insights that shape our thinking and strengthen our client impact.
Where You'll Fit Within the Team
This is not a typical client-facing consulting role. As a member of our M&A and Divestitures Practice, you'll play a key role in developing Bain's thought leadership, intellectual property, and innovative solutions across the M&A lifecycle.
You'll help shape our perspectives on the trends transforming global industries, contribute to our flagship Global M&A Report, and develop practical tools and insights that support our consulting teams and clients.
This role offers the opportunity to combine rigorous research and analysis with creative problem-solving, commercial thinking, and collaboration with senior stakeholders across Bain's global network.
What You'll Do:
- Develop Bain's global M&A thought leadership
- Contribute to Bain's annual Global M&A Report, working closely with authors and industry experts to develop insights across sectors and markets.
- Conduct primary and secondary research on M&A trends, market developments, and best practices, translating findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with Bain's Capability Network and industry teams to develop compelling perspectives on emerging opportunities and challenges.
- Support focused research and content development initiatives, bringing together data, analysis, and strategic insights.
- Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure high-quality thought leadership is developed and published on schedule.
- Support innovation across Bain's M&A solutions
- Help develop and enhance our M&A solutions, including M&A Strategy and Capability, Corporate Due Diligence, and Merger Integration.
- Translate client needs and market insights into improvements to our intellectual property, analytical approaches, and client offerings.
- Contribute to the development of industry-specific materials, digital tools, and AI-enabled solutions that strengthen client outcomes.
- Support consulting teams with relevant expertise, research, and tailored materials for client engagements.
- Collaborate on commercial opportunities, proposals, and project mobilization, ensuring teams have access to the most relevant insights and resources.
- Drive marketing and commercial enablement
- Develop compelling client presentations, proposal materials, and commercial content that communicate Bain's latest perspectives on M&A.
- Support the global distribution of the Global M&A Report and other thought leadership through internal communications, webinars, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Contribute content for external marketing channels, including social media, client webinars, and executive speaking engagements.
- Work with practice leaders and marketing teams to amplify Bain's expertise and strengthen engagement with clients and industry audiences.
