XIG Hedge Funds. The XIG hedge fund team is the part of the XIG responsible for sourcing, examining, and investing in leading external hedge fund managers. The team has been in this business since 1969, making it one of the first multi-managers in the industry. As of December 2024, the team managed over $40 billion across portfolios of hedge funds, customized solutions, and advisory relationships. The team covers a wide number of strategies including fundamental equity long short, credit, event driven, macro, CTAs, multi-strategy and quantitative funds. Investors include public pensions, corporate pensions, financial institutions, endowments, foundations, and high net worth individuals. This diverse and broad investor base is beneficial for XIG, both as a source of capital and as a resource for us in the markets where we invest. Our group has sought to establish deep and longstanding relationships with leading institutional hedge fund investors and have benefited from Goldman Sachs’ strong relationships with ultra-high net worth individuals. Within hedge funds, our history in managing portfolios dates as far back as 1969, meaning we are among the most experienced hedge fund advisors in the industry.
