Guidewire Integration Architect

Summary

Professional Services at Guidewire partners with P&C insurers worldwide to deliver complex cloud implementations that reduce effort, accelerate time‑to‑value, and unlock measurable business outcomes through our InsuranceSuite platform and AI‑enabled services.

We work as one global team, combining deep insurance domain expertise, modern delivery methods, and a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and curiosity in how we serve customers.

As a Guidewire Integration Architect, you will lead end‑to‑end solution architecture across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter for strategic customer programs, primarily on Guidewire Cloud. You will shape technical direction, mentor delivery teams, and embed automation and AI‑powered methods to cut implementation effort and time while ensuring scalable, maintainable, and upgrade‑ready solutions.

This role sits at the heart of Guidewire’s mission to transform how the world’s P&C insurers do business by making cloud and AI adoption faster, safer, and more valuable.

Job Description

What you’ll do

• Serve as the lead architect for complex InsuranceSuite implementations, defining target architectures and integration patterns across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, and surrounding systems.
• Translate business and product requirements into cloud‑ready, scalable, and upgrade‑safe solution designs, balancing configuration, integration, and extension options on Guidewire Cloud.
• Provide design authority on programs (including SI‑led deliveries), ensuring alignment to Guidewire best practices, reference architectures, and Professional Services priorities to reduce implementation effort and time and improve delivery quality.
• Partner with customer architects, product teams, and delivery leads to embed AI‑ and automation‑enabled methods, accelerators, and repeatable offerings throughout the implementation lifecycle, improving productivity and time‑to‑value.
• Review and govern critical design decisions, code approaches, performance considerations, and data models to ensure quality, resilience, security, and operational efficiency in production.
• Mentor and coach consultants and engineers on InsuranceSuite architecture, cloud patterns, and modern engineering practices, helping build AI‑enabled delivery capability across Professional Services.
• Contribute to the evolution of standard assets, templates, and methodologies that can be reused across customers to scale services‑led innovation, support revenue growth, and improve margins.
• At Guidewire, we foster a culture of curiosity, innovation, and responsible use of AI—empowering our teams to continuously leverage emerging technologies and data‑driven insights to enhance productivity and outcomes.

What you’ll bring

Required

Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your current role as well as data‑driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.

• Extensive hands‑on experience architecting and delivering Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and/or ClaimCenter solutions, ideally including cloud implementations and large‑scale transformations.
• Strong background in enterprise application architecture, integration patterns (REST APIs, messaging, batch), and secure, scalable design in a SaaS or cloud environment.
• Ability to lead technical direction on large, multi‑stakeholder programs, influencing decisions through clear reasoning, structured trade‑offs, and collaborative problem solving.
• Proficiency in core technologies used with InsuranceSuite (e.g., Java, Gosu, relational databases, integration middleware) and familiarity with modern CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Proven track record of mentoring and upskilling engineers or consultants, with an emphasis on quality, automation, engineering excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to convey complex technical concepts in accessible language to technical and non‑technical audiences.

Preferred

• 10+ years of overall software/solution architecture experience, including significant time on Guidewire implementations; prior experience in a consulting or Professional Services context is a plus.
• Experience applying AI‑ or automation‑based accelerators (e.g., code generation, intelligent testing tools, migration scripts) within delivery projects to reduce effort and improve reliability.
• Knowledge of P&C insurance domains (policy administration, billing, claims) and related industry standards or regulatory environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Your Impact

We believe in clarity and setting you up for success. In your first months, you will immerse yourself in Guidewire’s architecture patterns, Professional Services delivery methodology, and AI‑enabled services strategy, then take ownership of solution architecture for one or more strategic customer programs in the region.

You will define target architectures, guide critical design decisions, and help teams adopt repeatable patterns that reduce implementation effort by up to 50% and time by 30%, directly supporting cloud adoption and measurable customer value for insurers.

As you grow in the role, your work will influence how insurers modernize their core platforms, how our partners deliver implementations, and how Guidewire advances its wider mission to transform P&C insurance through trusted cloud and AI‑powered platforms.
