Job ID: 5965
We are looking for a Senior Analyst to join the Limit Solutions and Support team within Nordea Asset Management. The team is responsible for implementing and maintaining investment restrictions across client mandates and investment products, ensuring that regulatory, contractual and internal requirements are reflected accurately in our systems and processes.
Nordea Asset Management (NAM) is the investment arm of the Nordea Group and one of the largest asset managers in the Nordics. With a strong European presence and a commitment to responsible investment, NAM offers an international environment with high ambitions and meaningful responsibilities across risk and portfolio management.
About our team
Our Limit Solutions and Support team adds value by delivering trustworthy and well-governed asset management to Nordea and our clients. We are responsible for configuring and maintaining the investment restriction framework across NAM's product ranges and institutional client mandates, ensuring that risk boundaries are accurately implemented, scalable and aligned with regulatory and contractual requirements.
We work closely with Portfolio Management, Trading, Risk, Legal and Technology to translate investment guidelines and regulatory requirements into operational restrictions — and to ensure data quality and system integrity across the value chain.
As the investment management industry increasingly explores the use of artificial intelligence in portfolio management and trading, the governance and oversight of AI-driven investment decisions is becoming an important and growing dimension of the limit and compliance landscape. As a Senior Analyst, you will be a central contributor to both daily operations and the ongoing development of our limit framework — including system configuration, regulatory interpretation, process improvement and the emerging area of AI governance.
Collaboration. Ownership. Passion. Courage. These are the values that guide us in how we work and how we make decisions – and that we imagine you share with us.
Operational responsibilities:
- Configure and maintain investment restrictions in SimCorp Dimension and Compliance Manager, ensuring accurate and complete implementation of client mandates and regulatory requirements.
- Perform impact analysis on limits in connection with new products, instruments or mandate changes.
- Support Portfolio Managers and Traders with limit-related queries.
- Maintain documentation and audit trails and support internal and external oversight requirements.
- Contribute to data excellence and quality controls across the investment value chain.
Development & improvement:
- Translate new and updated regulatory requirements into configurable restrictions, assessing operational impact and driving implementation.
- Identify and drive improvements to limit configuration processes, workflows and control frameworks.
- Contribute to the development of governance frameworks for AI-assisted investment management within the limit space.
- Collaborate closely with Risk, Legal, Trading, Operations and Technology on new instruments, products and data needs.
- Contribute to the evolution of NAM's limit and compliance architecture, including system logic, data models and transformation rules.
Stakeholder collaboration:
- Act as a trusted partner to Portfolio Managers, Traders and other internal functions on limit-related matters.
- Communicate regulatory interpretations, system capabilities and operational impacts clearly and constructively across a complex matrix organization.
Who you are
You take ownership, work with structure and precision, and enjoy solving complex regulatory and data challenges in a dynamic investment environment. You are comfortable working across both operational tasks and longer-term improvements, including emerging areas where frameworks and best practices are still being defined. You collaborate naturally and thrive in an international environment.
To do well in this role, we believe that you have:
- University degree in finance, economics, mathematics, data science or similar.
- Knowledge of and genuine interest in financial markets and financial instruments.
- Practical experience working with data and databases, including for analysis and troubleshooting purposes.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to work with structured controls.
- Experience navigating complex organizations and decision structures.
- Fluency in English, written and spoken.
Relevant experience and background could be:
- Experience with SimCorp Dimension or similar investment management and compliance systems.
- Familiarity with investment restriction frameworks, client mandate management or regulatory limit requirements.
- Interest in or experience with AI applications in financial services, including governance, oversight or risk considerations related to AI-driven decision-making.
- Experience with automation or scripting (e.g., Python or SQL) for data analysis or process improvement.
- Exposure to portfolio management workflows, trading processes or risk management frameworks.
What we offer
- A central role in a high-impact area with broad exposure to financial markets, investment management and regulation.
- Strong professional development opportunities — regulatory, analytical and technical — including the opportunity to be at the forefront of how the asset management industry governs and integrates artificial intelligence into investment processes.
- A collaborative, international team based in Christianshavn, Copenhagen, working closely with colleagues across the Nordic region and Europe.
