Co-op, Compliance Advisor

The Role

Are you interested in using data, technology, and strategic thinking to solve complex business challenges? The Compliance Strategy & Framework team is seeking a motivated Co-op to help drive innovation, operational excellence, and scalable compliance solutions across Fidelity Institutional.

In this role, you will gain exposure to how compliance programs are designed, governed, andoptimizedwithin a leading financial services organization. You will partner with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Human Resources, and business stakeholders toleveragedata, streamline processes, and support strategic initiatives that strengthen the firm's governance and control environment.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Support enterprise-wideGovernance, Risk, and Compliance(GRC) system enhancements, data management activities, and process optimization efforts, throughresearch, analysis, and project execution. 

• Analyze data and prepare reports, metrics, and dashboards that provide insights into compliance program effectiveness and business trends,identifyefficiency opportunities, and help design future-state solutions. 

• Assistwith process improvement initiatives byidentifyingefficiencies, documenting workflows, and supporting automation opportunities. 

• Contribute to strategic projects that enhance compliance frameworks, strengthen controls, and support evolving business needs. 

• Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Technology, Human Resources, and business partners to support cross-functional initiatives and solve complex business challenges. 

• Research regulatory developments, industry trends, and emerging technologies to support program enhancements and innovation within the compliance function.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's orMaster's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Risk Management, Accounting, Legal Studies, ora relatedfield.

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data,identifypatterns, anddevelop insights.

• Interest in strategy, business transformation, operational excellence, compliance, risk management, or financial services.

• Curiosity and enthusiasm for solving complex problems and improving processes.

• Strong communicationand presentation skills, with the ability to synthesize information for diverse audiences.

• Experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with data visualization or reporting tools is a plus.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

• Demonstrated initiative, creativity, and a continuous improvement mindset.

• Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively across teams.

The Team

Fidelity Institutional (“FI”) offers clearing, custody, investment products, brokerage, and trading services to a broad range of financial intermediary firms and institutional clients. 

The mission of FI Compliance is tomaintainthe highest professional compliance standards, while supporting fast-paced product, service, and system development. To realize this mission, we provide the tools and resources needed to ensure FI’s compliance with regulations and Fidelity policies. FI Compliance supportsthe severalbusinesses within FI, including Green Pier FinTech, Fidelity Capital Markets, Client Experience, Products and Advisory Solutions, Client Relationship,Plynk, and Strategy, Analytics, and Market Readiness.

This role sits within the Strategy & Framework team in FI Compliance. Strategy and Framework focuses on innovation and continuous advancement of the compliance program.
