Director - Programmatic Monetization

About the Role

Glance operates one of the world’s largest owned-and-operated mobile surfaces, reaching hundreds of millions of users across US, India, LATAM, Japan and Southeast Asia.

As Director – Programmatic Monetization, you will own the programmatic business end-to-end — from revenue and yield to demand partnerships, auction strategy, new monetization capabilities and the team that drives them.

This is a global leadership role with direct accountability for building the next phase of Glance’s programmatic monetization engine.

What will you be doing?

• Revenue & Growth: Own global programmatic revenue, growth strategy, annual plans and forecasts across markets.

• Global Demand Partnerships: Build and manage senior relationships with SSPs, exchanges and agencies, including commercial terms, strategic partnerships and supply commitments.

• Deals & Auction Packages: Drive growth of PMP, PG and curated auction packages, increasing their contribution to overall programmatic revenue.

• Programmatic Capabilities: Define and build new auction, bidding, yield and monetization capabilities that expand what Glance can monetize.

• Format Innovation: Identify, develop and scale new ad formats and placements across Glance’s surfaces while balancing monetization with user experience.

• AI-First Monetization: Establish AI as a core operating layer for the monetization function — using AI to forecast, detect anomalies, optimize yield, automate reporting and improve decision-making, while applying judgment on where AI adds real value.

• Policy & Platform Readiness: Ensure compliance with platform, privacy and industry policies, while driving Glance’s approval, onboarding and readiness across major demand platforms.

• Industry Representation: Represent Glance with global demand partners, industry forums and relevant advertising bodies, shaping conversations around programmatic, publisher monetization and emerging standards.

• Team & Organization: Build, structure and scale the programmatic monetization organization, establishing clear ownership, operating rhythms and strong functional depth.

What is expected out of you?

• 12+ years of experience in ad tech, with senior ownership of programmatic or publisher-side revenue at a large publisher, SSP, exchange, app developer or similar ecosystem.

• A proven track record of owning revenue metrics with experience building plans, forecasts and growth strategies.

• Deep hands-on understanding of the programmatic stack, including auction mechanics, bidding architecture, ad serving, measurement, identity and yield optimization. You should be able to go deep enough with engineering and partners to challenge assumptions and identify the real constraint.

• Strong publisher-side monetization expertise, including pricing, yield management, demand optimization and the trade-offs between revenue, fill, latency and user experience.

• Leverage AI to drive efficiency and performance — use AI models and tooling to forecast performance, identify anomalies, optimize yield, automate workflows and reduce manual reporting, while applying human judgment where it adds the most value.

• Experience operating across multiple global markets, with a strong understanding of how programmatic strategy, demand dynamics, pricing and user behavior differ by geography. US market experience is a strong plus.

• A demonstrated ability to build, lead and level up high-performing teams, with experience hiring strong talent, developing leaders and creating scalable operating structures.

• Strong commercial and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to operate effectively across product, engineering, sales, finance, legal and external partners.

• A strategic thinker who can move seamlessly between long-term business strategy and the technical details of an auction happening today.
