Summary
The Product Owner is responsible for defining and executing the product roadmap for insurance applications, ensuring solutions align with business objectives, customer needs, and regulatory requirements. This role partners with business and IT stakeholders to deliver digital products.
The Job
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Define and communicate the product vision, objectives, and roadmap aligned with business strategy.
Identify opportunities to improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and business value through digital solutions.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into product initiatives and delivery plans.
Prioritize features and enhancements based on business value, regulatory requirements, customer needs, and technical constraints.
Requirements Management
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Ensure requirements are clearly defined, prioritized, and understood by development teams.
Validate solution designs to ensure alignment with business objectives and user needs.
Manage scope changes and assess impacts on timelines, resources, and business outcomes.
Product Backlog Ownership
Own and maintain the product backlog.
Prioritize backlog items based on business value, dependencies, risks, and delivery capacity.
Conduct backlog grooming and refinement sessions with stakeholders and delivery teams.
Agile Delivery & Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary point of the digital products. Serve as the product leader and trusted advisor for business stakeholders, providing strategic direction and making prioritization decisions that maximize business value.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
Make timely decisions on priorities, scope, and solution options to support project delivery.
Facilitate alignment among business, channels, IT and Compliance/Risk stakeholders.
Influence senior stakeholders on product investment priorities and strategic trade-offs.
The Person
Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or equivalent area.
Minimum 10 years of experience in Product Owner, Business Analyst, Digital Product Management, or related roles in Insurance industry.
At least 3 years of experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders.
Experience in Agile product management frameworks such as Scrum, SAFe or Product Operating Models.
Experience leveraging data analytics, AI-enabled capabilities and customer insights for product decision-making is highly desirable.
Experience in managing distribution applications will be an advantage.
Effective communication and cross functional stakeholder management.
Strong decision making, problem-solving and influencing skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proactive, detail-oriented and collaborative team player.
