We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join the Accounts & Finance team in our Mumbai office. We are seeking someone who thrives in a growing environment and providing clients with exceptional services. At this position you will be helping in managing accounts, finance & compliances function of India office. What Work You Will be Responsible For:

Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts and financial records for assigned entities/clients.
• Ensure timely monthly book closure and preparation of Management Information System (MIS) reports.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies on a timely basis.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and ensure accurate depreciation accounting.
• Ensure timely accounting of vendor invoices and processing of vendor payments.

Taxation & Regulatory Compliance

• Support and monitor compliance under the Income Tax Act, Goods and Services Tax (GST) Act, TDS, Provident Fund (PF), Professional Tax (PT), ESIC, and other applicable regulations.
• Ensure timely payment of statutory dues and filing of returns and reports.
• Possess thorough knowledge of GST compliance, including GST return filings, e-invoicing, reconciliations, and related requirements.
• Coordinate with statutory auditors and tax consultants during audits and assessments relating to areas handled.

Office Administration

• Plan, organize, and coordinate day-to-day administrative activities to ensure smooth office operations.
• Manage procurement activities, office inventory, and related vendor invoices.
• Coordinate with landlords, facility management teams, and service providers for office-related matters.
• Oversee and coordinate employee transportation arrangements with car rental and transportation vendors.

Coordination & Communication

• Maintain effective communication with management, employees, vendors, consultants, and external stakeholders.
• Participate in daily planning and debrief meetings.
• Prepare meeting minutes, maintain documentation, and track action items.
• Prepare and monitor operational and financial MIS reports and trackers.

Other Responsibilities

• Ensure proper record keeping and documentation of all financial and administrative transactions.
• Assist in process improvement initiatives and implementation of internal controls.
• Perform other accounting, compliance, administrative, and administrative duties as assigned by management.

Desired Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and statutory compliance requirements. It would be an added advantage to have worked on Tally and Xero.
• Knowledge of GST, TDS, PF, PT, ESIC, and Income Tax compliances.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Good analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Preferred/Desired Qualifications:

• B.com Graduate or Inter CA (not pursuing CA anymore) having 4+ years of relevant work experience
