Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
- Support customers and field teams in remote and onsite troubleshooting , incl. resolving technical challenges on KLA products, helping to ensure high system performance and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers to analyze issues, identify solutions, and contribute to continuous product improvements.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, best practices, and knowledge articles that help teams worldwide work more efficiently.
- Participate in customer evaluations, product demonstrations, beta testing, and new technology introductions, gaining exposure to cutting-edge semiconductor solutions.
- Lead or contribute to small technical projects and cross-functional initiatives that drive operational and product excellence.
- Work closely with Customer Support Engineers and Product Support teams to investigate complex technical issues and develop effective action plans.
- Provide remote and on-site technical support through phone, email, and field activities, supporting customers across different regions.
- Assist with data analysis, reporting, and technical presentations to support business and engineering decisions.
- Help improve internal knowledge management systems by identifying opportunities to enhance documentation, processes, and support tools.
- Develop your technical expertise through structured training, hands-on experience, and certification programs, including opportunities to support customer-facing activities in the field.
Minimum Qualifications
- University degree in Electrotechnical, Optical, Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose, analyze, and resolve complex equipment and product issues in both field and customer environments.
- Hands-on customer support mindset, with the capability to lead small projects, support beta testing and evaluations, prepare technical reports, and contribute to action plans for product improvements.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Field Service Engineers, Customer Support Engineers, and Product Support teams to support escalations, service alerts, evaluations, and customer projects.
- Advantage is an experience with technical documentation and knowledge management, including creating Best Known Methods (BKMs), maintaining knowledge databases, and documenting corrective actions and process improvements.
- Willingness to work in customer fabs and travel as needed, combined with a strong commitment to continuous learning and product certification.
The role includes hands-on field support, on-the-job training (eg. in Taiwan, South Korea and Singapore), and approximately up to 40% time in the fabs in Germany as well as in the whole Europe.
