PayPay is looking for a Product Designer who will join us to promote product creation that puts user experience top priority.

Team Mission

Our mission is to support all of the important touch-points in a user’s life from in-store to online payments and asset management, and to improve the user experience of Wallet and Money Management features. Position Overview

Work with engineers and product managers to develop new features and improve existing features that put user experience top priority.
Experience various challenges to deliver a new financial experience to users.

• End-to-end UX/UI design for products and services within the PayPay ecosystems
• Design UX strategies based on project and business goals
• Create design concepts using techniques such as user personas and journey maps
• UX flow and UI design based on concept
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative research and analysis using questionnaires and interviews
• Analyze and suggest improvements using numerical analysis tools
• Other wide range of work related to product design, such as organizing design workshops

• PayPayエコシステムにおけるプロダクト・サービスのend-to-endのUX/UIデザイン
• プロジェクト目標およびビジネス目標に沿ったUX戦略の設計
• ユーザーペルソナ、ジャーニーマップの作成などフレームワークを用いたデザインコンセプトの作成
• コンセプトを元にしたUXフロー、UIデザイン
• アンケートやインタビューを用いた定量・定性調査、分析
• 数値分析ツールを用いた分析と改善の提案

• その他、デザインワークショップの開催など、プロダクトデザインに関わる幅広い業務

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will vary depending on your experience and skills:

• Work closely with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders  to deliver end-to-end product experiences across UX and UI design, making decisions that consider the broader PayPay ecosystem and overall user experience
• Deep understanding of the concept and requirements, proposing a UX flow that considers inclusiveness, comprehensiveness, and consistency, and finalizing the UI design
• Commit to the business by designing a high-level UX strategy based on a deep understanding of PayPay's strategy and KGI/KPI, and a comprehensive decision to balance profit and UX
• Team management, quality control, and mentoring other designers

具体的な業務内容

経験やスキルに応じて、お任せする業務は異なります。

• エンジニア、プロダクトマネージャーなどの他のロール、ステークホルダーと密にコミニュケーションを取り、単一機能のUXだけではなく、PayPay全体のUXを俯瞰的にとらえ、意思決定を行っていただきます。
• コンセプト、要件を深く理解し、包括性、網羅性、一貫性を考慮したUXフローの提案、UIデザインのファイナライズまでを行っていただきます。
• PayPayの戦略やKGI/KPIを深く理解し、利益とUXのバランスを考慮した総合的な判断からハイレベルなUX戦略を設計し、ビジネスにコミットしていただきます。
• デザイナーの育成、クオリティコントロール、チームマネジメントを行っていただきます。

Requirred Qualifications

• More than 3 years of hands-on professional experience in mobile app (iOS/Android) UX/UI design
• Experience using Figma and Adobe for UX/UI design
• Hands-on experience with product releases, effectiveness measurement, and continuous product improvement
• Business-level proficiency in either Japanese or English
• Experience using and evaluating PayPay or similar mobile payment and fintech apps

必要な経験/スキル

• 3年以上のモバイルアプリ (iOS/Android) UX/UIデザインの実務経験
• Figma、Adobeを用いたUX/UIデザインの実務経験
• プロダクトのリリース、効果測定、改善の実務経験
• 日本語または英語がビジネスレベル
• PayPayまたは類似するモバイル決済・Fintechアプリを利用したことがある

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience utilizing HCD (Human-Centered Design) and design thinking
• Experience facilitating design workshop
• Experience designing and conducting user surveys and user interviews
• Experience managing in-house services
• Experience working on multiple projects from requirement definition to prototyping and visual design
• Experience building and maintaining design systems
• Management experience
• Experience leveraging AI/LLM-based tools in daily workflows while ensuring human oversight, judgment, and accountability drive the final product
• Conversational or higher proficiency in both Japanese and English

• 日々の業務でAI/LLMツールを活用しつつ、最終的なプロダクトの判断や説明責任は人が担う体制のもとで業務を行った経験 
• 日本語および英語ともに日常会話レベル以上

• Annual leave (up to 14 days in the first year, granted proportionally according to the month of employment. Can be used from the date of hire)

Salary

• Annual salary paid in 12 installments (monthly)
