What you'll be doing

Compliance and Global Regulatory Affairs (CGRA) – EWC provides timely and proactive advice and independent oversight of CIBC’s compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. EWC works with the business unites to manage and mitigate regulatory risks.

Core accountabilities span three interconnected areas: maintaining robust quality control standards and protocols; conducting rigorous analysis to surface trends, insights, and improvement opportunities; and driving end-to-end program execution with a focus on stakeholder collaboration, governance, and regulatory adherence.

The role supports the full quality control lifecycle; from performing defined review activities and investigating root causes of deficiencies, to monitoring remediation efforts and tracking corrective actions through to resolution. It contributes meaningfully to reporting and governance by preparing inputs, dashboards, and materials that inform leadership decision-making and support transparency across Oversight Functions.

How you'll succeed

• Quality Control – Assist with the identification, development, and maintenance of required procedures and processes related to Quality Control and Improvement activities. Prepare and maintain records of Quality Control testing. Investigate and analyze the root causes of quality issues and operational inefficiencies, contributing to follow-up actions for deficiencies and execution gaps. Monitor remediation activities and support the implementation of corrective actions. Perform defined quality control review activities within established standards and protocols.
• Analysis and Documentation – Conduct thorough analysis of quality RCM & EWC process control reviews and, based on insights, identify opportunities and recommend improvements to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of RCM activities, including areas for enhancement of methodology (including documented policies and procedures), training, and process changes. Analyze review results, trends, and recurring themes to support insight generation and track metrics and action plans to support broader reporting and insights. Document for escalation any non-conformance issues considered material and assist with identifying solutions with relevant stakeholders. Assist with the compilation of data and content for the production of periodic Quality Control reports, including preparation of selected reporting inputs, governance materials, deck preparation, and validation support. Assist in benchmarking initiatives to ensure best-in-class Quality Control practices.
• Program execution - Execute a risk-based quality control and improvement program that provides reasonable assurance on the quality of RCM & EWC processes and key outputs including, but not limited to, RCM Library, compliance risk assessment, regulatory development monitoring, compliance reporting, Outside Business Activities, and Policy Review and Refresh. Share internal and external insights, lessons learned, and enhancement opportunities with RCM Programs and leaders for consideration. Collaborate with Oversight Functions to ensure adherence to established quality guidelines, coordinating stakeholder follow-ups, meeting materials, and implementation tracking. Identify opportunities for process improvement through data analysis and continuous monitoring. Ensure compliance with regulatory and enterprise requirements by reviewing the quality of deliverables produced by the Compliance team to improve performance of day-to-day activities. Assist with identifying opportunities for continuous quality monitoring using relevant data points, reporting, and dashboards.

Who you are

• You can demonstrate  experience in executing quality control and continuous improvement activities. Prior RCM experience is an asset.
• You can demonstrate experience in Quality Assurance and process improvement within banking or financial services with working knowledge of risk management environment, standards, regulations, and mitigation and experience in  identifying continuous improvements
