About this Role

We are seeking a German Real Estate and Lease Accounting Specialist to support accurate and timely financial transaction processing and reporting within SAP RE-FX. Based in Pune, the role covers real estate accounting, country controlling, contract creation, modification and approval, balance-sheet reconciliations and month-end activities.
The successful candidate will manage lease accounting operations in accordance with IFRS 16, maintain effective process controls and support internal and external financial reporting. German proficiency at B2.1 level or above, practical SAP experience and financial-analysis capabilities are essential.

What you’ll do

Manage real estate accounting operations in compliance with IFRS 16 principles.
Complete end-to-end contract-management activities for lease accounting.
Create and modify contracts accurately and within agreed timelines.
Support the approval of contracts within SAP RE-FX.
Ensure that all relevant operational and administrative processes are followed.
Complete monthly valuation postings for all eligible leases accurately and on schedule.
Coordinate balance-sheet reconciliations and month-end accounting activities.
Maintain and monitor process controls effectively.
Deliver activities relating to internal and external financial reporting and compliance.
Analyse and troubleshoot accounting and system-related issues.
Communicate accounting information clearly and assess the impact of new accounting procedures.
Complete additional role-related activities assigned by the relevant supervisor.
Meet agreed key performance indicators and service-level requirements while maintaining the quality and accuracy of business-as-usual activities.

Who you are

You have between two and five years of experience in a similar accounting or finance-related role.
You have good knowledge of IFRS 16 and established lease-accounting principles.
You have German-language proficiency at B2.1 level or above, with effective written and spoken communication skills.
You communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
You have practical SAP experience. Understanding of the SAP RE-FX module is desirable.
You have financial-analysis, data-analysis and data-exploration capabilities.
You are proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and have experience using Microsoft Power Platform.
You demonstrate effective stakeholder-management, communication and time-management skills.
You apply analytical thinking and structured problem-solving when addressing operational issues.
You can work within established procedures while managing activities accurately and meeting deadlines.
Previous people-management experience is not identified as an essential requirement for the position.
