Fund/Client Accounting Senior Specialist
Real Estate Fund Accounting | Dublin
We’re looking for a Fund/Client Accounting Senior Specialist to join our Real Estate Fund Accounting team in Dublin.
This is a strong opportunity for an experienced fund accounting professional who wants to build their career in the growing alternatives and real estate space, working with large, sophisticated clients and complex fund structures in a dynamic, high-impact environment.
In this role, you’ll combine technical accounting expertise with client exposure, problem-solving and process improvement. You’ll play an important part in delivering high-quality fund accounting and reporting services while also contributing to the evolution of our operating model through AI, automation and digital tools.

What you’ll do:
- Deliver fund and client accounting activities for assigned real estate structures, including net asset value calculations, fund performance reporting, expense allocations and financial reporting.
- Support the servicing of large institutional and strategically important clients, helping meet complex requirements across reporting, controls and service delivery.
- Review accounting outputs, reconciliations and reporting for more complex funds and transactions, ensuring a consistently high standard of accuracy and quality.
- Investigate and resolve complex or non-standard accounting and reconciliation items.
- Prepare and review client reporting for sophisticated fund structures, ensuring deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
- Build strong working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, responding to queries and helping resolve accounting and reporting issues effectively.
- Provide support and technical guidance to junior team members, helping drive quality and consistency across the team.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls and deliver efficiencies across day-to-day activities.
- Contribute to a more modern, scalable operating model through the use of AI-enabled, automated and digital solutions that enhance reporting, productivity and the overall client experience.
- Support the review of GAAP and/or IFRS requirements and assess the impact of regulatory or accounting developments on fund accounting practices at BNY.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience in fund accounting, client accounting, financial reporting or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP and/or IFRS.
- Experience supporting complex funds, alternative investment structures or large institutional clients would be highly advantageous.
- Big 4 accounting firm experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex issues in a controlled and timely way.
- Confident communicator, comfortable working with both clients and internal stakeholders.
- A continuous improvement mindset and interest in innovation, AI and digital transformation within financial services.
- A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to a high-performing team environment.
