Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician to join our leading healthcare facility in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in managing musculoskeletal, neurological, and functional conditions, with a focus on improving patients’ mobility, independence, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients with physical disabilities, musculoskeletal disorders, and neurological conditions.
• Develop individualized rehabilitation and recovery plans.
• Manage patients recovering from stroke, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and other neurological conditions.
• Evaluate and treat chronic pain and musculoskeletal disorders.
• Provide non-surgical management of sports injuries and musculoskeletal conditions.
• Perform appropriate musculoskeletal injections and other rehabilitation procedures.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary rehabilitation programs with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other specialists.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as required.
• Counsel patients and families regarding rehabilitation goals, treatment options, and long-term care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in multidisciplinary case discussions.

Qualifications & Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• MD/DNB or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
• Significant post-specialization experience at Consultant level.
• Strong expertise in neurological and musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
• Experience in pain management and rehabilitation procedures is an advantage.
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.
