WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You’ll join Bain’s Customer Center of Excellence (CoE), part of the Bain Capability Network and our Expert Client Delivery organization. The CoE enhances Bain’s global Customer practice by bringing expertise, speed, and competitive advantage to our client and commercial work.
Our team co-develops client pitch decks, consulting intellectual property, and go-to-market solutions, while delivering projects that help clients unlock value across the full sales value chain and customer journey. You’ll work closely with Bain leadership, our Customer practice, subject-matter experts, and colleagues across geographies, including frequent collaboration with teams in EMEA and India.

WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
As a Manager in our Customer Center of Excellence, you’ll play a critical role in driving proposal and client development efforts. You’ll partner with Bain leadership, our Customer practice across branding, marketing, and sales, and subject-matter experts to translate client needs into compelling commercial narratives and high-quality solutions.
You’ll lead discussions with senior stakeholders, bringing structured problem-solving, a clear point of view, and persuasive storytelling to ambiguous or open-ended commercial situations. You’ll also build and develop a high-performing team of junior colleagues responsible for proposal development and commercial acceleration.
This role is based in Mexico City and requires working from the office four days per week.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Own and oversee the development of high-impact, end-to-end sales collateral, including proposals, discussion decks, and RFP/RFI responses, across a portfolio of priority pursuits and regions.
Rapidly assess RFPs and client contexts to understand clients’ core challenges, business models, financial positions, and starting points, helping shape approaches toward full-potential transformation.
Drive operational excellence and accountability for timely, high-quality, zero-defect delivery across the CoE’s proposal and sales-support outputs.
Own the industry interlock agenda, primarily across Consumer Products, Retail, and Financial Services, partnering with Bain practice leaders and product experts to translate industry priorities into targeted offerings, proposals, and reusable assets.
Ensure priority pursuits reflect current sector thinking, Bain perspectives, and relevant offerings.
Drive the creation of innovative perspectives, reusable assets, and commercial products that strengthen Bain’s go-to-market approach and Customer growth strategy.
Lead high-level discussions with partners and senior stakeholders, bringing structured problem-solving, a clear point of view, and compelling storytelling to ambiguous or open-ended requests.
Manage multiple concurrent workstreams across teams of Project Leaders, Associates, and Analysts, overseeing capacity, allocation, and delivery risk.
Champion the adoption of GenAI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Perplexity, as well as rapid app-building platforms such as Replit and Vercel, to accelerate research, proposal development, demos, and internal tools.
Build, manage, and develop a high-performing team, including hiring, performance management, and career development of junior colleagues. Set quality standards, workflows, and best practices that foster excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Build strong working relationships with colleagues in India to enable cross-office knowledge transfer, flexible capacity sharing, and reuse of tools and accelerators.
Own engagement with Customer practice leadership, including business reviews, performance reporting, leadership updates, and governance of the internal knowledge database.
ABOUT YOU
You have a graduate degree, preferably in engineering, science, commerce, business, or economics, and an MBA, with a strong academic record.
You bring 8+ years of relevant work experience, preferably within Consumer Products, Retail, Telecom, or Financial Services, including at least 5 years in a consulting environment.
You have demonstrated experience owning and shaping end-to-end client sales collateral, such as proposals, pitch decks, and demos, as well as winning pursuit strategies across topics including sales, branding and marketing, customer experience, and strategy.
You have advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, paired with strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
You are a power user of GenAI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Perplexity and have experience embedding these tools into team workflows. You can coach others on their effective and responsible use to improve speed and quality at scale.
You have proven people-management experience, including leading, coaching, and developing teams working across multiple workstreams.
Exposure to rapid app-building and prototyping platforms such as Replit and Vercel is a strong advantage.
Additional experience with consumer analytics tools such as Semrush, Google Analytics, Nielsen, Kantar, or Pathmatics; digital or web content creation platforms; or demo and video tools such as Synthesia or Adobe is an advantage.
This role requires working from our Mexico City office four days per week.
